6 Insights You Can’t Miss from Evan’s MAPRA Conference Recap

Chief Sales Officer, Evan Corbisiero and VP of Client Services, Nate Gallant exhibiting at MAPRA Conference

Following June’s MAPRA Conference, Evan highlighted six major themes in physician recruitment:

  1. Physician Recruiting Professionals, overall, are reporting that they are happy with their work life balances.

  2. Broadly, Physician Recruitment teams are feeling undervalued by healthcare administrative teams and leadership.

  3. The power of meaningful relationships – Health System Recruiters continue to value their relationships with key vendors, putting an emphasis on collaborative partnerships.

  4. A Single Point of Contact for all specialties is a priority for Physician Recruiters, when working with staffing firms.  Even more importantly is trust and friendship with their single point of contact.

  5. VMS/MSP companies/products are continuing to wane in their popularity and efficacy as a “total solution” for regional health systems .

  6. AI continues to be integrated, but there is still a big learning curve.  AI is no longer a fun “parlor trick” but an actual productivity tool that will continue to streamline the overall recruiting and retention process.  Those that dedicate time and resources to AI tools, will find themselves pulling ahead of the competition.

“Although these are some takeaways from a regional meeting of physician recruitment professionals, the above topics are resonating across the country,” said Evan Corbisiero, Chief Sales Officer from Alumni Staffing. “If any of the six topics resonate with you in any capacity, we should have a conversation and keep talking about these topics.  Recruitment teams should never feel underappreciated by leadership or feel powerless when working with agency/vendor partners.”
