Celebrating Physician Assistants Week: Thank You for All You Do
/Every day, Physician Assistants are making a difference in the lives of patients and the healthcare teams they work alongside.
During PA Week, we’re taking a moment to recognize the dedicated PAs who bring their knowledge, flexibility and compassion to healthcare organizations across the country.
An Important Part of the Healthcare Team
Ask anyone who works alongside a great PA, and they'll tell you their impact goes far beyond their job description.
PAs diagnose and treat patients, develop treatment plans, perform procedures and collaborate closely with physicians and other members of the care team. Just as importantly, they're often the person taking the extra few minutes to answer a patient's question, reassure a worried family member or lend a hand to a busy colleague.
Those everyday moments are what make great healthcare teams work.
Helping Keep Patients Connected to Care
When healthcare organizations are short-staffed or experiencing increased patient demand, having the right providers available matters.
PAs help expand access to care while providing valuable support to the clinical teams around them. And for those who choose locum tenens, that impact can extend to healthcare organizations and communities that need additional support most.
Walking into a new facility and quickly becoming part of the team isn't always easy. It takes experience, adaptability and a willingness to step up—and we're continually impressed by the PAs who do exactly that.
